Craft & Culture

I'm pumped to have worked with the crew at Craft & Culture in Seattle on their new print edition called Ledger. This site is dope. The people behind it? Even doper. So many juicy tidbits of style and super stealth designers from near and far. I suggest you start shopping!

Thrift Store

A turkey baster is a magic wand
Of course we'll do magic!
He shuffles some books around on the shelf
Does he even work there?

"Those bottles are ornamental, a nice gift."
They're painted on the inside. How'd they do it?
"Where does the money go?"
"To charity."

A small broken egg from a wooden box of twelve
Someone's kid got loose
Turkey baster kid?
Still waiting for Mom, holding a wooden chicken
   "How do I volunteer?"
"I'll train you now"

Big purple chair, mint green armoir
Tripped on a kid reading on the floor
Didn't see you there

Musky smell and a rusty candle holder
It's too heavy
  I take nothing home

NYC round 2 week 1

I'm back in New York City. Staying in my fave 'hood Cobble Hill in Brooklyn. It was a super slow first week, I keep hearing from girls that it's been dead lately & that I arrived in the middle of all the resortwear fashion shows. Man I have good timing! I haven't had many castings which has given me the time to settle into an apartment, visit friends, and explore. I finished my book in two days. Oops. That was supposed to last me longer...for all those train rides in Manhattan. To Kill a Mocking Bird - HARPER LEE

In the midst of stressing that I will not work much here in the short time I am staying, I somehow booked a fashion show for Richie Rich of Heatherette. I was nervous, as I hadn't done runway in quite some time. Ah who am I kidding, runways always make me nervous. However, thank you to Richie Rich who taught me that champagne cures that ailment. I really enjoyed my time backstage, hanging with the amazing team made up of a solo hairstylist, and Picasso (yes Picasso!) the makeup artist and Richie's entourage of amazing people. It's funny because I watched a video of a Heatherette photoshoot some time ago and thought how funnnnnn it would be to work with him, and there I was! Having my right nipple "sparklebombed" by Richie Rich himself under the sheer-ish-right-breasted side of the tutu-like dress I was about to parade around in, within the comfort of my very own combat boots. No heels, score!
A couple shots from after the show, for your viewing pleasure.
